Intensive limited to 8 writers
6 Meetings: 3 Weeks, twice a week
In this on-line program, Plot Whisperer Martha Alderson and Literary Agent Jill Corcoran provide constructive feedback as you develop/refine your picture book concept, characters, plot, as well as your pitch and query.
Tuesdays and Fridays 10am - 12:30pm Pacific/1pm - 3:30pm Eastern
Twice-Weekly 2 1/2 hours Discussion based on assigned homework and feedback from both Martha and Jill that apply to your individual plot and picture book elements for a total of 6 Discussion sessions.
Each session has a specific focus based on homework though you are free to address any issues you’re having. Participants are given 15 minutes to ask questions and voice concerns and successes for your manuscript. Only Jill and Martha answer questions and give input. During each writer’s time, the seven other writers benefit from actively listening and taking notes. We’ve learned from teaching together that writers gain valuable information both when they are on the “hot seat” and when listening to other writer’s issues.
